Meenakari

Meenakari (minikari) is a traditional form of Indian jewellry. It was first introduced to Rajasthan craftsmen by Raja Mansingh of Amer. Meenakari combines metal jewellry and precious stones. It also includes a process of enameling or decorating the surface of golden, silver or copper jewelry with colours. Green, yellow or blue are suitable for silver. All the colours can be applied to gold. Indian cities very famous for its Meenakari jewelry are Jaipur, Delhi, Banaras and Udaipur.
