Omamori

Omamori (in Japanese o-mamori means honourable protector) is a traditional Japanese charm dedicated to some Shinto Kami (gods, angels, spirits) or Buddhist figure. Omomori is usually made of cloth. People keep omamori together with a piece of wood or paper with prayers written on it.

It is believed that omamori can bring good luck or help in achieving certain goal in life. It can also be a protection against evil spirits. One of the most popular omamori is Kanai Anzen. People believe that bring good health and help when someone is ill.
