Nazar

Nazar is an amulet that protects from the evil eye. Evil eye is a special look or the power to cause bad luck or even injury on some person. Nazar is popular in countries like for example Turkey, Greece, Iran or Armenia. You can see it in homes, offices, as jewellery, decoration on mobile phone etc.

Nazar is usually a round flattened glass object. It is handmade. It includes several concentric circles or droplet shapes. Going from the centre there are following colours – black or dark blue, white, light blue and black. Certain amulets have yellow or golden edge. This amulet is sometimes known as the blue eye.
